Frequently Asked Questions
- How quickly can I expect to see results with RELEEV?
All people are different and cold sores vary. Often it depends on when RELEEV is applied - the sooner the better and that is true of any treatment. Typically when RELEEV is applied, pain eases in minutes and other symptoms improve within 24 hours. We have long been told by consumers that in addition to providing symptom relief, RELEEV is terrific in speeding the healing of cold sores. What consumers are telling us was confirmed in a recently completed double blind, placebo controlled clinical trial. We look forward to reporting the results of that successful clinical trial soon.

RELEEV Works! We have just completed a very successful U.S. double blind, placebo controlled clinical trial and are looking forward to disclosing and publishing the exciting, outstanding, speed to healing results soon.
- How does RELEEV differ from other cold sore relief products?
RELEEV is very fast acting. It relieves symptoms and soothes an outbreak within 24 hours, and it significantly speeds cold sore healing. RELEEV has always had a "guaranteed results or money back" policy. We mean it, and we stand by RELEEV's performance. RELEEV includes a novel patented bio-technology specially extracted from botanicals. Antiviral and anti-infective laboratory testing results on the formula in RELEEV have been published in various scientific publications and abstracts, including Antiviral Research and International Conference on Antiviral Research (ICAR).
- Is RELEEV FDA-approved?
Yes. RELEEV is approved under an FDA OTC Monograph. There are two types of FDA approvals for OTC products: (1) the FDA OTC Monograph System, where an OTC product contains an active ingredient that has already been found to be safe and effective; and (2) through approval of a New Drug Application (NDA), typically used for synthetic drugs. RELEEV is sold under the first of these types of approvals.

All of them, pain, burning, tingling, and itching,
- Can I get RELEEV at my local drugstore?
RELEEV is carried in all major retail chains, and most smaller and independent chains.
- RELEEV didn't work on my cold sore. Do you offer a guarantee?
Always have, always will. If RELEEV didn't work for you, make sure that you really had a herpes-caused cold sore. Other types of outbreaks can mimic a herpes outbreak, and you can have concomitant infections where a virus and bacteria or fungus can be infecting the site, so check with your doctor. We have seen a case where sores that look exactly like a cold sore, turned out to be a yeast infection. That girl got incredible relief from Monostatin 1. We have also seen some bacterial infections that look like a cold sore. Neosporin Triple Antibiotic Ointment works on those. When in doubt, use all three: RELEEV first because it's water based, then Monostatin1 because it's a cream, then Neosporin Triple Antibiotic Ointment because it's an ointment.
- Has RELEEV been tested in any clinical trials?
Yes. A U.S. double blind, placebo controlled, clinical trial of RELEEV recently has been completed with exciting results.
- How has RELEEV performed in clinical trial?
Outstanding results. We look forward to publishing and reporting those exciting "speed to healing" results soon.
- Is it safe to use RELEEV during pregnancy?
Although RELEEV has tested non-toxic and is comprised of a special botanical extract, no testing of RELEEV has been done on pregnant women. They should check with their doctor or health care practitioner.
